ISO 9001 – Taking CBD Compliance to New Heights

At Mile High Labs, we’re always striving to push the limits of CBD manufacturing technology, scale and, of course, compliance. Self-regulation and strict adherence to the highest standards are crucial to the integrity and longevity of the entire CBD industry. With this in mind, we’re proud to announce that we’ve received our ISO 9001:2015 certification and reaffirmed our previous Good Manufacturing Practice audits.

“CBD manufacturers should hold themselves to the same standards as other dietary product manufacturers. These certifications are the latest demonstration of how Mile High Labs is leading by example. We strongly encourage other CBD companies to follow our lead and help create an industry that has good manufacturing practices at its foundation.”

– Stephen Mueller, founder and CEO, Mile High Labs

It’s important to note that while the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) creates standards, they do not certify companies. Mile High Labs was thoroughly audited by SGS America, one of the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification companies. Previously, we were audited and certified in 2018 for 21 CFR part 111 and 21 CFR part 117 by Merieux NutriSciences.

The FDA currently does not have regulations in place for the production and packaging of dietary supplements or food containing CBD. As a result, the quality, consistency and purity of CBD products can vary significantly. Mile High’s adherence to the highest standards ensures that our customers always receive the pure and compliant CBD ingredients that their business relies on.

These latest certifications come as we’re getting ready to roll out the red carpet to our new Broomfield location. Mile High Labs purchased the 400,000 square-foot former pharmaceutical plant back in June 2019.

We’re looking forward to sharing more information with you as we draw closer to the opening of what we’re calling the “Center of CBD.” Stay tuned!
